The Agriturismo Basilea
The Agriturismo Basilea is situated in a large valley very close to the Jonian Sea, just five minutes far from the city of Catanzaro. It is completely plunged into an ancient olive-grove. The farm, completely restored, date back to XVII sec. and an old legend tell it was the headquarters of a feared band of bandits.
The farm is close to some of the most important tourist Calabrian centres, as Soverato, Caminia, and Le Castella. Also just 5 minutes far from the archaeological ground of Roccelletta. Our specialised team will assist you in our different services and programs: trekking and picnic in the Sila mountains, cooking demonstration, wine tasting and Italian lessons.
Actually the farm is composed of some luxurious bedrooms with private bathroom and panoramic view over the valley; also, a breakfast room and a large restaurant where you will find the exceptional Calabrian cooking. All is prepared with our own exclusive organic products and exquisite olive oils. We also have a selection of excellent red and white home-made wines.
